The gamma ray tool measures the natural gamma ray generated from the formation that surrounds the wellbore. The sensor comprises  sodium iodide scintillator, a photomultiplier and a 2kV high voltage power supply. The models are compactly designed and offers good sensitivity and high resolution for use in cased-hole production logging operations. Included on the dual-Frequency are a casing collar locator (CCL) and a gamma-ray detector.
